These Terms & Conditions govern all reservations and stays at Pangea Tropea Hostel.. By making a reservation, you agree to the following terms.
1. Reservations & Payment
1.1 A valid credit or debit card is required to secure a reservation.
1.2 Depending on the rate selected, payment will be:
- Charged in full at time of booking
- .IMPORTANT NOTE!!! 20€ CASH Deposit is required on arrival. If you lose your keys or damage any property we will keep the 20€. If damages exceed the 20 Euros, you will be charged accordingly.
1.3 – We reserve the right to pre-authorize cards prior to arrival. If a card is declined and no valid alternative is provided, the reservation may be canceled.
2. Cancellation Policy
2.1 – Standard Rate: Free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival.
2.2 – Late Cancellation: Cancellations made less than 3 days before arrival will be charged the first night’s stay unless the other days of your reservation can not be filled by another person in which case you will be charged your entire stay..
2.3 – No-Show: Guests who do not show up for their reservation will be charged in full for your entire stay.
All cancellations must be made in writing via email, text or call.
3. Check-In & Check-Out
3.1 – Check-in is at 14:00 (2:00pm) – 20:00 (8:00pm). If you arrive early, no worries, you can leave your bags secured and go explore the city/beach, lounge out at the property, do yoga, lift weights, have some beverages or cook some food. Anything your heart desires.
3.2 – Check-out is at 10.00 (10:00 am) If your train or bus doesn’t leave till later, you are more than welcome to leave your bag secured at the property and do whatever you like.
3.3 – Late Check-Out: I understand that sometimes it is hard to get out of bed when you have partied all night long, I have been there. If I am not at full occupancy or expecting new reservations to come in, I can give you an additional 2 hours to sort yourself out and get your life back together.
3.4 – A valid government-issued ID or passport is required at check-in.
4. House Rules
4.1 Quiet hours: [Insert Time, e.g., 10.30 PM – 8:00 AM].
4.2 Guests must respect other guests, staff, and property.
4.3 Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the building. A cleaning fee will apply for violations.
4.4 Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.
4.5 Only registered guests are permitted on the premises. No bringing outside people into the hostel unless the owner, Darren, has approved it.
4.6 – If you mishandle my rabbits you will be kicked out without a refund. You can pet them but do not pick them up. If you have any issues with them please inform me or one of the staff and we will handle them. They are loveable delicate bunnies so treat them with love and respect.
4.7 – 18 & over only, no pets, clean up after yourself, no fighting, no stealing & no destroying property! If any of these happen you will be asked to leave with no refund. And If there are damages you will pay for them before you leave. Just have fun! it’s that easy! No families with or groups with kids. If you make a reservation and you show up with someone under 18, I will not accept your reservation and still charge you for your entire stay, so don’t do it.
4.9 – I do not put up with fighting, stealing or destroying anyone’s property, that includes mine. If you do any of these things at the hostel I will immediately remove you and your belongings from the property without a refund and you will have to find new accommodations elsewhere. Pangea is about fun, relaxation and enjoying each other’s company. Don’t be that person, be the person that everyone likes.
4.10 – I supply you with a lot of fun activities. Please treat them kindly and don’t destroy anything. If you vandalize or destroy any of my property or anyone else’s property that is staying here, you will pay for it and then will be removed from the hostel without a refund.
We reserve the right to refuse service or remove guests without refund for inappropriate behavior, excessive noise, vandalism, or violation of hostel rules.
5. Age Policy
5.1 Minimum age for dormitory accommodation is 18 years old.
6. Damages & Liability
6.1 Guests are responsible for any damage caused to hostel property during their stay.
6.2 We are not liable for loss, theft, or damage to personal belongings. Lockers are provided. Guests are responsible for securing their items.
6.3 The Hostel is not responsible for injuries, accidents, or incidents occurring on the property.
7. Taxes & Local Regulations
7.1 All rates are inclusive of applicable VAT unless otherwise stated.
7.2 The local tourist tax of Tropea is included in the cost when booking on my website.
9. Privacy Policy
Guest information is collected solely for reservation and legal registration purposes and will not be shared with third parties except as required by law.
10. Amendments
We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. The version in effect at the time of booking will apply to your stay.
11. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of Italy. Any disputes shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the appropriate courts in Italy.
